DECLARATION OF GENERATIVE ARTIFICIAL INTELLIGENCE (AI) USE
Global Journal of Communication Science (GJCOM)
The Global Journal of Communication Science (GJCOM) upholds high standards of academic integrity, transparency, and ethical scholarly communication. Authors must clearly declare whether they used generative Artificial Intelligence (AI) technologies in preparing their manuscripts. This declaration must appear at the end of the manuscript before the reference list.
Option 1 — Declaration of AI Use

Editorial Note:
The use of generative AI is limited to non-substantive support such as language editing. Authors must not use AI for core scholarly work such as hypothesis development, data interpretation, analysis, or conclusions. Authors remain fully responsible for all submitted content.
Option 2 — Declaration of No AI Use
Declaration Statement
Editorial Note:
Basic tools such as grammar checkers, spell-checkers, or reference managers are not classified as generative AI and do not require disclosure.
Ethical Policy for Editorial and Review Process
The editorial board of the Global Journal of Communication Science (GJCOM) prohibits the use of generative AI technologies by editors and reviewers during manuscript evaluation, review, or decision making. This policy aims to:
- Protect the confidentiality of unpublished manuscripts
- Safeguard authors’ intellectual property
- Ensure objectivity and academic rigor in editorial decisions
This policy may be updated to follow developments in AI ethics and scholarly publishing standards.
