DECLARATION OF GENERATIVE ARTIFICIAL INTELLIGENCE (AI) USE

The Global Journal of Economics (GJECO) upholds the highest standards of academic integrity, transparency, and ethical scholarly communication. Authors are required to explicitly declare the use or non-use of generative Artificial Intelligence (AI) technologies in the preparation of their manuscripts. This declaration must be included at the end of the manuscript prior to the reference list.


Option 1 — Declaration of AI Use

In preparing this manuscript, the author(s) used [name of AI tool, e.g., ChatGPT (OpenAI), Gemini, Claude] solely for language refinement, grammatical correction, or improvement of textual clarity. All intellectual content, including research design, data analysis, interpretation, and conclusions, was developed independently by the author(s). The author(s) have critically reviewed and verified all AI-assisted content and assume full responsibility for the accuracy, originality, and academic integrity of this manuscript.

Editorial Note:
The use of generative AI is strictly limited to non-substantive support such as language editing. AI tools must not be used for core scholarly activities including hypothesis development, data interpretation, analytical reasoning, or conclusion formulation. Authors remain fully accountable for all submitted content.


Option 2 — Declaration of No AI Use

The author(s) declare that this manuscript was prepared entirely without the use of generative Artificial Intelligence (AI) tools or automated content-generation technologies. All ideas, analyses, arguments, and written expressions presented in this manuscript are the original work of the author(s).

Editorial Note:
The use of basic tools such as grammar checkers, spell-check applications, or reference management software does not constitute generative AI use and does not require disclosure under this policy.


Ethical Policy for Editorial and Review Process

The editorial board of the Global Journal of Economics (GJECO) strictly prohibits the use of generative AI technologies by editors and reviewers in the evaluation, review, or decision-making process of submitted manuscripts. This policy is enforced to:

  • Protect the confidentiality of unpublished manuscripts
  • Safeguard authors’ intellectual property rights
  • Ensure objectivity, independence, and academic rigor in editorial decisions

This policy may be periodically updated in response to evolving standards and ethical considerations related to artificial intelligence in scholarly publishing.
