Author Guidelines

Global Journal of Medicine (GJMED) publishes peer-reviewed, high-quality research in medical and health sciences, including clinical medicine, public health, epidemiology, biomedical research, and healthcare systems. Manuscripts must be original, rigorous, and contribute to the advancement of medical science and practice.


1. General Requirements

  • Manuscripts must be original and not under consideration elsewhere
  • Articles must follow the official journal template
  • Use clear and formal academic English
  • All submissions undergo double-blind peer review
  • Research methods and results must be valid and reproducible

2. Manuscript Structure

Title
Maximum 15 words. Must clearly reflect the medical topic or study.

Author Information

  • Full names without academic titles
  • Affiliation: faculty, hospital, institution, city, country
  • Email of corresponding author

Abstract
150–250 words in one paragraph. Must include background, objective, methods, results, and conclusion. Avoid citations and undefined abbreviations.

Keywords
Provide 3–5 keywords related to medical science.

Introduction

  • Explain clinical or public health background
  • Identify research problem or gap
  • State research objectives
  • Provide brief literature review
  • Highlight contribution to medical science

Materials and Methods

  • Describe study design (clinical trial, observational, experimental, etc.)
  • Explain participants, inclusion/exclusion criteria
  • Describe procedures, instruments, and interventions
  • Include statistical analysis methods

Results

  • Present findings clearly and systematically
  • Use tables, charts, and clinical data where necessary
  • Report statistical results (confidence intervals, p-values, etc.)

Discussion

  • Interpret findings based on medical science
  • Compare with previous studies
  • Explain clinical or public health implications
  • Discuss limitations

Conclusion

  • Summarize key findings
  • Highlight contributions to medicine
  • Provide recommendations for practice or future research

  • Acknowledgments (optional)

  • Conflict of interest statement

3. Ethical Considerations

  • Research involving humans must follow ethical standards (e.g., Declaration of Helsinki)
  • Provide ethical approval from an institutional review board
  • Include informed consent for participants
  • Ensure confidentiality and data protection

4. Tables and Figures

  • Number tables and figures sequentially
  • Provide clear titles and captions
  • Must be cited in the text
  • Use high-quality clinical images and charts

5. References

  • Use APA 7th Edition style
  • Minimum 15 references
  • At least 80% from recent scholarly sources
  • Arrange alphabetically
  • Include DOI or URL when available

6. Publication Ethics

  • Follow COPE guidelines
  • No plagiarism, falsification, or fabrication
  • Proper citation is mandatory
  • All authors must approve the submission
