Author Guidelines
Global Journal of Marine Science (GJMSC) publishes peer-reviewed, high-quality research in marine science, including oceanography, marine biology, fisheries, coastal management, marine ecology, and marine environmental studies. Manuscripts must be original, rigorous, and contribute to the advancement of marine science.
1. General Requirements
- Manuscripts must be original and not under consideration elsewhere
- Articles must follow the official journal template
- Use clear and formal academic English
- All submissions undergo double-blind peer review
- Methods and results must be accurate and reproducible
2. Manuscript Structure
Title
Maximum 15 words. Must clearly reflect the marine science topic or study.
Author Information
- Full names without academic titles
- Affiliation: department, institution, city, country
- Email of corresponding author
Abstract
150–250 words in one paragraph. Must include background, objective, methods, results, and conclusion. Avoid citations and undefined abbreviations.
Keywords
Provide 3–5 keywords related to marine science.
Introduction
- Explain background and marine context
- Identify research problem or gap
- State research objectives
- Provide brief literature review
- Highlight novelty and contribution
Materials and Methods
- Describe study area, sampling sites, or marine environment
- Explain sampling techniques and data collection methods
- Provide details of instruments and procedures
- Describe analytical and statistical methods
Results
- Present findings clearly and systematically
- Use tables, maps, and graphs where necessary
- Report measurements with appropriate units
Discussion
- Interpret results based on marine science principles
- Compare with previous studies
- Explain ecological or environmental implications
- Discuss limitations
Conclusion
- Summarize key findings
- Highlight contributions to marine science
- Provide recommendations for management or future research

3. Ethical and Environmental Considerations
- Research must follow environmental and marine conservation regulations

- Use high-quality maps, charts, and images

- Use APA 7th Edition style
- Minimum 15 references

6. Publication Ethics
- Follow COPE guidelines
- No plagiarism, falsification, or fabrication
- Proper citation is mandatory
- All authors must approve the submission
