Author Guidelines

Global Journal of Law (GJLAW) publishes peer-reviewed, high-quality research in legal studies, including constitutional law, criminal law, civil law, international law, business law, human rights law, and socio-legal studies. Manuscripts must be original, analytical, and relevant to contemporary legal issues.


1. General Requirements

  • Manuscripts must be original and not under consideration elsewhere
  • Articles must follow the official journal template
  • Use clear and academic English
  • All submissions undergo double-blind peer review

2. Manuscript Structure

Title
Maximum 15 words. Must clearly reflect the legal issue or topic studied.

Author Information

  • Full names without academic titles
  • Affiliation: faculty, institution, city, country
  • Email of corresponding author

Abstract
150–250 words in one paragraph. Must include background, objective, method (normative or empirical), results, and conclusion. Avoid citations.

Keywords
Provide 3–5 keywords relevant to legal topics.

Introduction

  • Explain legal background and context
  • Identify legal issues or gaps
  • State research objectives
  • Provide brief review of relevant legal literature
  • Highlight novelty and contribution

Research Method

  • Specify type of research (normative, empirical, or comparative)
  • Explain legal approach (statute, case, conceptual, or historical)
  • Describe sources of legal materials (primary, secondary, tertiary)
  • Explain data analysis or legal reasoning method

Results and Discussion

  • Present legal analysis systematically
  • Interpret findings based on legal theory and doctrine
  • Compare with existing laws or prior studies
  • Discuss implications for legal practice and policy
  • Identify limitations

Conclusion

  • Answer research questions
  • Summarize key legal findings
  • Provide recommendations for law reform or practice

  • Acknowledgments (optional)
  • Funding information
  • Author contributions
  • Conflict of interest statement
  • Data availability statement
  • Declaration of AI use

3. Tables and Figures

  • Use only when necessary
  • Provide clear titles and captions
  • Must be referenced in the text

4. References

  • Use APA 7th Edition style (or journal-specific legal citation style if required)
  • Minimum 15 references
  • At least 80% from recent scholarly sources
  • Include legal sources such as statutes, cases, and regulations where relevant
  • Arrange alphabetically

5. Publication Ethics

  • Follow COPE guidelines
  • No plagiarism, falsification, or fabrication
  • Proper citation of legal sources is mandatory
  • All authors must approve the submission

7. Peer Review Process

  • Initial screening by editorial team
  • Double-blind peer review process
